Student Spotlight: Meet Taurino!

Delay can dangerous! This statement can best describe my situation. I remember about 25 years ago as a high school student in Oregon. I was in school and doing my best. But fate came calling that led to my family’s relocation to Indiana. The transition affected me in such a way that I could not re-enroll immediately. By the time I was ready to go back to school, I had turned 19 years, exceeding the age bar set for high school students.
Even though I felt bad about the situation, I encouraged myself by looking for a job and I began to make money. I have come to realize that money is not everything because I still feel the need to complete my high school education.
Trust me, my brain is not as sharp as when I was a teenager. I decided to give it a try and came to Wayne Township Adult Education. Three years down the line, I have one more course to go to pass the HSE test and earn my diploma. This development has brought so much happiness and encouragement to my children; they all await my graduation.
