HSED Testing
Greetings Future Graduate!
Important Information:
- Registration:
- Tuesday and Wednesday, 12:00 PM – 6:30 PM
- (These times may differ during breaks and holidays)

- Prior to paying, you must call 317-988-7975 for available test dates.
- Please bring ID and payment (cash only) with you.
- There will be NO walk-in HSED registrations on the day of the test.
What is the testing fee?
$36/Subject ($144 for all 4 tests: Language Arts, Math, Science, & Social Studies)
You will receive one discounted retake for every GED® test subject you purchase but don’t pass. You have 365 days after your full price test to use this retake. This retake offer (1 full price:1 discount) repeats until you pass the test. GED Testing Service waives its $26 testing fee, however additional testing fees may still apply in your state.
In Indiana, there is a $10 test center fee for test retakes.
All testing must be paid for in cash.
What identification must I bring?
You must provide a government ID and be a resident of Indiana for at least 30 days. If you have an out of state ID, you may demonstrate proof of residency through a lease agreement, utility, phone bill, or bank statement.
16 & 17 Year Old Students
In Indiana, the minimum age required to take the GED® test is 18. You can be 16 or 17 and take the GED® test if you have an exit form on file. This form must be on file with the testing center prior to testing.

Once the form is completed, you may submit the form through any of the methods:
- Go to a local testing center to drop off your form.
- The testing center will either help you registered with GED and tell you how to schedule the test.
- If you would like to take the test from the comforts of your home, please have your school corporation send the exit form via email to mhibbard@dwd.in.gov.

Can I attend the graduation ceremony?
Any student who has 12 hours in enrollment for Wayne Township Adult Education classes may walk in graduation and have their testing 100% paid for. The graduation ceremony is a private ceremony so it is reserved for students only. If you self pay, you are not eligible to walk.
