Shane Brashear is a perennial nominee for Teacher of the Year at Lynhurst, where he teaches English during the day. He does nominate himself every year, but that’s still pretty impressive. He graduated from Indiana State University and later got a Master’s degree in educational technology from IUPUI. He’s been teaching for nearly thirty years and still enjoys it most of the time. He’s been teaching ABE in Wayne Township for over a decade and enjoys that all of the time. When he’s not teaching, he enjoys watching movies, playing board games, and collecting records, and he tries to stay physically active with basketball, running, softball, and disc golf despite his advanced age.
